Davenport University is excited to extend an invitation to GR area high school students for a forensic science summer camp.
This year our camp at the Grand Rapids main campus will be July 28th – August 1st. Dr. Susan Gunn, Department Chair for Science at Davenport University, is hosting this exciting event.
Students will have fun doing “real-life” CSI work by investigating a staged crime scene. They will learn exciting laboratory techniques that police and forensic scientists use to catch criminals with DNA analysis.
We are looking for students in grades 9-12 that have an interest in the biological sciences and have completed at least one high school level biology course.
We welcome the submission of an application from students affiliated with your school or organization that have interest and meet these criteria.
Students can request an application by sending their contact information (student name and parent contact email address) to firstname.lastname@example.org
We are limiting the camp to 20 students and there is a $50.00 tuition fee per student. The fee includes a t-shirt, a backpack with all their course materials, and lunch each day. Students will need to provide their own transportation or arrange to use the free DU shuttle from downtown Grand Rapids (summer hours will be posted soon).
Please contact Dr. Gunn directly with any questions. She can be reached at email@example.com or in her office at 586-620-4117.
